Free Downloadable November 2014 Desktop Calendar

This fall I am offering free downloadable desktop wallpaper calendars of my artwork. November's photo is from my travels here in Germany. It was from a recent visit to castle in the Moselle River area in central Germany. Burg Eltz is an amazing German castle. It is beautiful and well preserved. One of it's most fascinating facts is that it is still owned by the family that built it.

This castle trip was truly entertaining. There was a beautiful hike through the autumn trees that opens up to the view pictured in this photo. What a beautiful sight to see after […]

A Trip to Marksburg Castle

Look Up at Marksburg Castle

One of things I love about traveling around Germany is visiting all the castles. I call it "castle hunting". I am determined to see as many castles as I can while I am here in Germany. After doing some research, I found Marksburg Castle on list to visit not too far from Frankfurt. I found their website and planned out a day trip with a friend. This amazing castle was very worth the visit.

Renaissance Festival in Germany

I love summers in Europe, there are local festivals all summer long celebrating anything and everything. I had the chance to attend a small Renaissance festival on a small lake here in Germany. You even had the chance to buy some ceramic mugs and wine cups.

People were dressed up in costume and they had entertainment in the form of fire dancers and fire spitters. The fire performers were my […]

Spring in Germany

Spring in the German countryside can be a very beautiful site. Usually around April the fields of rapeseed flowers bloom and all over can be seen these beautiful fields of yellow flowers.

These fields serve more than one purpose. Besides making Germany a very picturesque country, it also can be cultivated as a crop as the rapeseed is turned into oil.

Whatever the purposes, I enjoy photographing them as much as I can. They make for great landscapes and beautiful backgrounds for portraiture.
