November’s photo is from my travels here in Germany. It was from a recent visit to castle in the Moselle River area in central Germany. Burg Eltz is an amazing German castle. It is beautiful and well preserved. One of it’s most fascinating facts is that it is still owned by the family that built it.

This castle trip was truly entertaining. There was a beautiful hike through the autumn trees that opens up to the view pictured in this photo. What a beautiful sight to see after a little walk down the hill. Definitely breath taking and worth the trip.

After entering the castle grounds, there are two little restaurants that are fun to grab a bite to eat and drink a coffee and you take in the amazing view of the castle or the river and valley below. The tour itself was interesting and showed different aspects of the castle’s history. Unfortunately, since it is still lived in there a lot of it that can’t be toured. We even saw some deer wandering around the valley flower below among the trees.
