I absolutely love when March begins because that means that winter is ending and we are moving into spring. (I am also St. Patrick’s Day obsessed! Here’s a post I wrote about spending that day in Dublin!) When I deciding what photo to use for this month’s calendar I was instantly thinking a photo from Ireland but since this March also has Easter in it I decided to make it a little less St. Patrick’s Day centered. That lend me to think about my other trips and I thought “Netherlands!” I loved going out to see the old windmills in the South Holland province. So I picked a photo of three of them.

When I went to the Netherlands it was a great trip. We went and saw the Keukenhof (tulip festival), stayed in Amsterdam, and travelled to the windmills, a clog factory, and a cheese factory (who doesn’t love Dutch cheese!). I highly recommend a trip. It is such a beautiful country. Amsterdam was a fun city to explore but going out to the country was amazing. The buildings are brightly colored, the coast is beautiful, and there is so much to see.
